Local Day Trips - Explore The Mt. Hood Territory
Mt. Hood Territory has an array of fun activities excellent for family bonding and to recharge those batteries.
Oregon's Mt Hood Territory is home to more than 50 different Parks to explore and the snow that falls on Mt. Hood gives us the longest ski season in North America, As it melts, it feeds streams that grow into rushing rivers, providing anglers with thriving populations of fish and paddlers with rapids to test their mettle.
Below are a few short day trips that you can take while you are staying at Collins Lake Resort.
Hood River County Fruit Loop
The Hood River County Fruit loop is located in the beautiful Hood River Valley at the foot of majestic Mt. Hood. The twenty-nine member stands offer you a variety of wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, ciders, and food. While there are twenty-nine stands, they are not all open at the same times and dates. Many of the wineries are open all year. Most of the fruit stands open during harvest time, which changes every year. Cooler weather means that the fruit is harvested later, warmer weather makes for an earlier season. Specialty stands, such as blueberries, have a shorter season. |
